We had a lovely peaceful walk here on a Sunday morning. Sadly we couldn't get on the island but we still really enjoyed it. Worth getting up through the woodland area. Check out all the wood carvings.... read more »
Well kept municipal park. Boat hire nice planting and lovely lake. Music in summer and a model boat display.

Don't expect it to feel authentically asian it's really not. The garden on top of the island is beautiful though. If you're into wildlife you'll like this place too as you can have squirrels eating out of your hand, literally.
Pleasant walking round the lake and up through peasholm Glen towards the cemetery at the end which has fascinating sculptures and interesting headstones. The boating lake has either Rowing boats or Dragon (peddle) boats. Suitable for 1-6 people. Twice a week in high season is the naval warfare battle. This show has been running for decades but is still very enjoyable entertainment. The park also includes a mini golf area, and snack vendors. Sometimes even the island is open to view (with the Chinese pagoda atop)
I have been coming here since I was tiny. Now I am taking my own children. Love the boats.
I remember when I was a little girl and the tree walk at peasholme park had a surprise around every corner. Dancing and singing animated teddies and dolls. And my favourite were the golliwogs. As you walked your way to the top it was exciting to arrive at the pagoda and see and hear the running waterfall! Good memories of family days out!
It's my local park ...stunningly beautiful and a great day out
