  • We just learned this park was only a few miles from our home! Thanks TripAdvisor! It's not the biggest or the best, but it does have the cutest meerkats which are so much fun to watch. None of the big...  read more »
  • Disappointing first visit. Lack of wildlife, many enclosures empty or in state of repair and update. No tigers, camels or lynx. Would have Benn nieve have been advised. Entertainment enough for a four...  read more »
  • Just learned that this park was only 7 miles up the road. It's not the largest zoo, but they have a nice collection of mammals, avians, and some marsupials. Cost isn't too much. Spent a couple of hour...  read more »
  • Really loved this zoo, took our 20mth old Son and he had an amazing day. Well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. Will certainly be returning however, as a family I would recommend taking a picnic as the little cafe doesn't offer a great deal but what as on offer was OK.
  • Fantastic place. Staff were so friendly and informative. You are able to get so close to the animals.
  • The animals seem well looked after and there is a wide range of mammals and birds, the tigers are very impressive. Some animals are only visible at a significant distance. Cafe is tiny and some areas are only accessible via grass paths which were very muddy when we visited, quite an exposed site so dress appropriately. There is a good size covered picnic area next to the outdoor playground.
  • Some animals you won't see elsewhere, some great enclosures. Only problem is they're still expanding so there are a lot of building materials around. Good price, would definitely recommend.
  • My partner and I really did love this wonderful wildlife park. We went for my 22nd birthday "weekend" on the 9th January and for a small park they do a fantastic job and you can definitely see the dedication. Straight away when buying the tickets the man was friendly and looked happy to be there (unlike some wildlife parks). The staff are very friendly and extremely informative about their animals (a very informative staff member who loves the Tigers was very pleasant and full of enthusiasm, which we loved! The gentleman even took a few shots with my camera up close of the White Tigers, so I am very grateful as they are my favourite "big cat"!). We were also near the stables where we saw two foals- a horse and a zebra, which another gentleman mentioned about why they were together in the same stable. It is definitely refreshing to visit a smaller wildlife park and see the keepers who are willing to have a conversation with the visitors and be informed about their animals. We will be back in a few years when the new tiger enclosure is finished and hopefully might see some more beautiful animals on a warmer day! The food and beverages are very reasonable and the coffee was lovely! Not too strong or watered down (like some places). The car park does need some work doing to it, my partner has a Ford ST2 and like most cars that we saw, they are low too so be careful when driving in! The car park is small however it does look like they are doing an overflow car park. It was very muddy (but where isn't when it's been raining!) when we went however I believe on the little map they give you it does show they are doing some development. The cafe is small but it is a small wildlife park so it is what you expect and it is nice food. They do have plenty of outdoor seats available under a cover for the warmer periods. Unfortunately we didn't go into the gift shop as we spent 4 hours walking in a slow pace taking photographs and enjoying the atmosphere. Thank you! We will be back to see your Tigers!
