  • Went there a few times, loved the castle but my favorite part was the lake with its birds, i got to see some brown squirrels also. Its a must see if you are in the area
  • Nice castle to visit with very knowledgable guides to inform visitors about the castle history. It is worth the climb up to the turret for a wonderful view.

  • Best place close by me. Ancient castle currently housing Aberdeen Art Gallery's temporary exhibition; beautiful woodland walks; and a great play park for the kids. And there's the amazing rose garden too. Oh and the water garden. Oh and all those other walks in the estate ... Oh and the garden centre close by that does great good value food... and so on.
  • Great forest walks and a very good play park for the kids. You do have a small parking charge if you are a not a National Trust member but worth the fee.
  • Went for a dog walk with 25 other Dachshunds, had a great time. A lovely castle, beautiful forest walk and very well maintained grounds.
  • Lovely walled garden and the rose collection with spectacular. We spent a few hours exploring the gardens, and then visited the cafe, which is set in the old kitchens!
  • Lovely building, great walks and superb park for the kids.
