Inspirock Rating:
2.7/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web
Wheelock Hall Farm provides lots of activities for children as well as an authentic farm shop to pick up local produce and gifts. Head to the barn to meet pigs, goats, donkeys, ponies, and more. Buy some feed from the farm shop to offer the animals and have them eat right out of your hand. Children will enjoy the play area, which includes swings, slides, and hay bales to clamor on. They can get lost in the maize maze, or play farmer and ride the pedal-operated tractors. Relax in the cafe, and if the weather permits, recline in the outdoor seating. • Amazing place for the little one! He had so much fun there's animals, ice cream, tractors, a brilliant play area indoor and outdoor. It is well worth a visit.
  • Paying £3.50 for for an 18month old to play in the park is ridiculous. Can't even go on half of the stuff. Was raining and hardly any animals there. RIP OFF - including the toys in the shop.
  • Had a great day here with my daughter, her mother in law and four BORED grandchildren. We were lucky with the weather and were in the tea rooms when it rained. The play area is amazing with lots to do for all ages. My only grouse would be that parents let their children own the apparatus or the go karts and other children are disappointed they cant use them but that is not the farms problem! The barn was absolutely great and the kids really enjoyed the hay bales but again parents did not supervise the older children and they got a bit boisterous which frightened the younger ones. The maize and outside animals were amazing and it was so nice to see the animals so well looked after and nourished. Our food was very nice but I felt sorry for the assistants on the ordering side as the queues were long and the system was slow. Think this needs addressing. The farm shop was great lots of interesting things in the gift shop and not too expensive and the assortment of food in the farm part was excellent. The small gardening section outside was good and very reasonable. All in all a great day out and not too expensive. Well done
  • I've visited wheelock hall farm today 15/3/16 just after 9am with no other customers in sight. I regularly visit the farm shop but today decided to have a look at the play area facilities, thinking I may visit with the whole family at the weekend. I was asked to pay £3.50 for the 3 year old I had with me, i explained that we weren't staying but wondered what facilities they had. I was told we couldn't look round without paying the fee ! Needless to say we wont be back to such a money grabbing business !!
  • I have to say that I have never been spoken to or treated by a old woman who I since have found to be the owner of the so called business! I have today taken back a faulty toy to be told by the woman that my little boy has man handled it! There is no apology from her and all she does is be very offensive . Before I met this ambassador of the business my daughter and myself had lunch, which was quite nice! I then returned to a this horrible old woman who told me I should of not eaten in her tea room, and to go away! Please be very careful about the toys they sell as they are of not merchantable quality, and all they obviously want is to get the money some way from you! I will never recommend or go there ever! Rant over CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ONE SILLY OLD LADY! Spoiled by a £2.99 toy unbelievable!
