  • Did you ever meet someone who was really talented, more so than many so called stars on TV and in film? Well that is Joanne (or Janey) the tour guide at Samlesbury Hall. Get on a tour guide with her and you will be royally entertained and informed. Someone who you would expect was a star of stage and screen already. How lucky they are at Samlesbury to have her. This is a very nice place to visit, with interesting places on the grounds of the estate, and a quality restaurant. We visit many mansions and historic homes and will definitely be back, as apart from it being a really nice day out, they have great staff there all round (as at 21/06/2015).
