This museum has been revamped and is brilliant. The Amesbury Archer and the information from the whole Wiltshire area is beautifully presented.

The Wessex gallery (the archaeology wing) alone is definetely a must see. It is deceptively small but full of information and very relevant, modern displays, among those the world famous Amesbury Archer. Talk to the curators, they are a trove full of information.
small fut factual museum with lots to do for children. my kids loved every second. visiting exhibitions are always a pleasure.
