  • Old house was built for Charles Mompessona in the year 1701. It is known for its elegant interior, fine furniture 18 century and a charming walled garden.

  • A nice little house in the renowned Close. Worth a visit if you are there but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to visit. As part of a wider visit to Salisbury, pop it on your list.

  • We visited after doing the Salisbury half marathon! The place was stunning and the staff were very nice. I would recommend going!
  • Situated in the centre of Salisbury, Mompesson House is easily accessed if you're visiting the city. Our only visit was brief, but it was good enough for us to want to go again. While the furniture may not be original, the National Trust have filled the house with items that have their own interesting histories. At the back of the garden, there is a tea room.
  • Great choice of big retail shops but big problem sometimes parking :-(
  • Nice, small but charming house in the Close with a quaint garden.
  • Very good national trust townhouse.
