  • I found myself in Manchester on the day of the concert of Morrissey, and for this reason the club was open and sold many gadgets to Moz and the photo opportunities for the whole club. Is only open on Saturdays of every month and it's free. If you are in Manchester and you are a fan of the Smiths you must go there, it deserves! Place where it was filmed the video "Stop me if you think you've heard this before" Yes can easily reach by bus

  • Fascinating iconic building, extremly friendly and welcoming staff.
  • Lovely staff, so helpful for a couple of Smiths fans.
  • I visited The Smiths Room which is lovingly curated and filled with Smiths regalia. I definitely recommend going there and chipping in to keep the place alive, and I think they're doing something great not only for the community but for the Smiths/Morrissey/music community.
  • A bit of a rough area.
  • Salford Lads Club is not just the place that Morrisey and The Smiths had their photo taken in 1987, it's also a thriving youth club, still, and home to boxing, singing and concerts. It's also been the location for many of the short drama films of Mike Scantlebury and Salford LIDS recently. You can find them on Youtube
