The Friends of Walkden Gardens work with Trafford Council to maintain and improve the Gardens.

The Gardens are at the junction of Marsland Road and Derbyshire Rd, with the entrance via the car park on Derbyshire Road. Postcode M33 3EL.

Public transport: the 266/267 buses from Altrincham stop near the Gardens. Alternatively, it is about a 15 minute (0.7 mile) walk from Brooklands Metro Station to the Gardens.

  • One of the best garden parks I've been too. Beautiful little secret areas to explore.
  • Such a lovely set of spaces interconnected with pathways, it's easy to think you're the only person there most of the time although it's very popular.
  • Lovely set of gardens that feels much larger than the site should allow. The Japanese Garden is particularly good.
