  • We visited here in the hottest day this year and although the estate was busy it still had a calm feeling to it. Thoroughly enjoyed walking around the grounds.  more »

  • A magnificent home of the past. Such decor and splendour. I haven't been here in 30 years, and I very much appreciate it now much more. The grass and the gardens are immaculate. And seeing how they lived in those times were amazing. Good place to visit
  • Great day out. Staff so engaging and with all those stories in every room. Got in as the history of the house was shared in the main hall, so very interesting. Beautiful gardens. Really good day
  • Great day out, lovely house and gardens. Victorian Christmas to Antique Roadshow, art workshops, etc, there is often something on. Food in the restaurants better when there isn't a big event. Pricey for what it is though. Added to the entrance fee if you're not a member, it can be on the expensive side for families, but it's going to a good cause. Become members of the English Heritage and bring a picnic is a way to really get value out of it.
  • Nice, peaceful grounds and gardens. The house itself is quite interesting. I'd say it's most impressive from the outside by the river.
  • Spent many hours at Audley End today. So much to do, when weather is good you can picnic in the gardens and spend hours wandering through the trees and flower beds. Such an rich and enjoyable asset to have in the area.
