  • Definitely the best way to cross the Solent; the Southsea terminal is compact and modern, the two new hovercraft you're likely to make the journey on are quiet and stable, and the price is competitive with the catamarans. As a bonus, not only is the journey about 1/4 as long as that on the catamarans, but it terminates right in the heart of Ryde instead of at the pier head. It's a no-brainer, really.
  • Great service when it is running. They are having a lot of issues with reliability.
  • It's unique it's the only passenger services on a hovercraft any where in the world being th3 birth place of the British invention the hovercraft is something most islanders r proud of its all so the fastest way across the solent Southsea to Ryde or Ryde to Southsea
  • Needs air conditioning soooo badly sometimes but otherwise can't fault it. Outdoor waiting is nice addition should they want to reconsider hot passengers waiting for nee ferry. But crampt waiting is typical brit style :-)
  • The quickest and cheapest way across the Solent. Also the most convenient by car as you can park either side in long term car parks. Haven't tried the new hovercraft but they look super cool.
