  • Beautiful place, so quiet and out of the way - as long as you don't mind the occasional hill!
  • We stayed at Crab & Lobster Cottage for 2 weeks and loved it. Such a pretty village and it was so relaxing staying in this gorgeous, comfortable, clean cottage. We have booked again for next year and can't wait to return.
  • Runswick Bay is one of my favourite places anywhere on the English coastline, and High Chapel must be one of the most delightful houses in the village. It nestles among the narrow paths and lovely cottages around the bay and is the perfect base for exploring the coast and walking along the cliff paths. Within just a short walk of High Chapel, there’s the beach, a little shop and tea room, a lovely pub and some breathtaking scenery. The chapel has been converted to a holiday cottage with real care and sensitivity, but with plenty of home comforts inside including a lovely kitchen, bathroom, sitting and dining area and bedrooms upstairs. There’s a wonderful oak balcony overlooking the sitting room with a spectacular high ceiling and tall windows. Outside there’s a little terrace and garden area where you can sit and look out across the village to the sea. I adored High Chapel, I’d be delighted to go back there again and I can recommend it to any family who love the sea, the beach, the cliff walks and the coastal village life.
