  • It is an essential and very nice walk for nature lovers. It is worth losing this forest.

  • The Hermitage is a great place to stop if you’re heading up or down the A9. Beautiful moss draped trees, stunning waterfalls and various special buildings all add up to a magical place. It can be quite busy in the summer, but it’s definitely worth a visit and if you want a bit of peace and quiet just head slightly beyond Ossian’s Hall or the Cave as very few people venture any further than that. Parking is £2 but there’s no entry fee.
  • Absolutely love this place. The forest is enchanted and the waterfall although it isn't the biggest not deepest, it definitely has something magical about it. It is one of the oldest visited nature spots in Scotland so if you are in the area of Perth, then definitely try to find some time to visit this place.
  • So lush and green is this wood that it is more like an enchanted forest, a place that is a cross between Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter scenes. The Hermitage Woods are described as 'wild tree garden alongside waterfalls, rapids and swirling pool's. They do not disappoint. If you're in Perthshire you should strongly consider a walk in the woods (45 - 60 mins round trip). And, there are some amazingly tall Douglas Firs.
  • Really nice area to have a walk/hike. However, there is not much information on walking trails, nor many "trail signposts". Come with a downloaded map, or instructions!! We spent a couple of hours walking around here, but we did not really know how to make the best out of our walk (amazing views or sites) Nevertheless: the cone view point was astonishing!
  • Ossians hall was amazing. You go into a room that then opens out to a wonderful view of a waterfall. Also a cave and plenty of walks around
