This is a collection of shops and craft workshops which is interesting and well stocked. It includes flour from a local mill, a stone mason, wood work and the more usual gifts and local souvenirs.
Can be found just off the A6 (left turn) as you drive through Rowsley towards Bakewell. This is an old flour mill where visitors can walk through the old mill and see how it used to be done years ago.... read more »

Lovely little cafe with gift shop. Interesting place to spend the afternoon and have a bite to eat.
just had a brilliant time at Caudwells Mill Craft Centre. The shop has loads of items spoilt for choice. The cafe food is to die for, tasty healthy and mouth watering. The mill very interesting and you can buy their flour. Good day out
Interesting working Victorian water mill with a number of craftsmen in residence including a stone trough maker. A wide range of flours for sale in various bag sizes (including large sacks) produced from the mill. Formulaic craft/gift shop mostly selling the kind of stuff you can get pretty much everywhere The highlight is the cafe, which serves excellent food in generous portions and very reasonable prices. Good friendly service too, but didn't accept cards.
I'm happy to give Cauldwells mill a great review. We went there at the weekend. The food was fantastic and the service quick and polite. I don't mind paying a bit extra for good food and service. Not only that, the old mill and blacksmiths shop were interesting and the gift shop had some of the most unique items I've seen ages, the greetings cards were very notable and original. Brillant!
Amazing food, good sized-portions and salad of every colour. Suitable for veggies and the homity pie is to die for!
