  • One of the lesser-known treasures of Orkney and worth the ferry crossing to Rousay alone, Midhowe is a stunning, cathedral-sized chambered cairn; the neighbouring Iron-Age Broch is equally impressive; both should be a must-see for anyone interested in Orkney's ancient heritage
