Swithens Farm Reviews
Great day out love the farm and the soft play only think i was disapponted with was the quality of the food more »
As a family we visited the farm to lift our spirits while the weather was poor. We fed the animals after walking round twice, then had a meal in the cafe along ( the meal was enjoyed by all) with many... more »
Just a random trip out with my partner and i cant say i was overly impressed at first. The cow had a calf that looked dead, there was a nasty smell (i know its a farm but it was not a farm smell) and ... more »
As a support worker I visit this place regularly with my clients. The farm is really well looked after and the animals look really healthy. Its a good place to take children with a great family atmosphere. There is a local shop on site where all meats are locally produced, a nice cafe and a children's play area outdoors and in. Purchase a bag of food at reception (usually carrots) and feed the animals in your own time. Great place.
Absolutely loved it. You have a chance to get close to the animals and even saw new born piglets. Will definitely be going back. I think I had more fun than all the kids!
Waited 25 minutes for a cup of tea and coffee everyone had finished their food that they had ordered at the same time as us and our baby was getting fussy so we had to leave without our drinks, also unfriendly staff member pointing out to several others that I had brought my own food for my 9 month old son who has a milk allergy instead of actually approaching me so I could explain which made me feel very uncomfortable. An older male member of staff whistled at a young girl working in the cafe instead of calling her by name to get her attention to ask her to clean a table. All round very rude staff and poor service.
Great place to come and get close to animals. A good range of farm animals, rabbits, Guinea pigs, meerkats and more. Outdoor play areas could do with refreshing, but entry is quite cheap. Food in the cafe is very good value for money and there is a good choice.
OK and good choice of animals. Parking and cafe could be a bit better. Good day out overall.
