    If you only see one thing on the Isle of Bute, this should be it. Take the guided tour - the guide is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the house and the family. The cafe has good quality food...  more »

  • I was surprised at the beauty of this place, the tour guide was really good at explaining the thought that went into building the house and I love the wood interior. I also learned it can be booked for events which I think is great.
  • Such a fascinating place. We had a fantastic tour guide who gave us so much brilliant information. It is such a beautiful estate. We thoroughly enjoyed our day! It's a must do visit if you're staying in Bute!
  • If you visit the Isle of Bute you absolutely have to visit Mount Stuart house. Beautiful grounds, knowledgeable staff. A great way to spend a spring or summer day.
  • It's got beautiful gardens and a lot of areas are dog friendly. The house itself is beautiful and there are staff in each room who are willing to tell you lots of information!
