  • Love love love this place. Great little tearooms, food homemade and really nice. Need at least 2hrs to look around the vintage stuff here
  • Had lunch at the mill , had a lovely jacket potato with prawns and salad, very good and very large potions, husband had home made soup (mushrooms) served with a bread roll excellent quality
  • True British heritage of times gone by currently under threat of closure which would be a devastating loss of our cultural history.

  • The mill is great the saf are so informative some of the saff either use to work there or had relatives that worked at the mill there are loads of hands on stuff you can try from weaving to bailing
  • Nice atmosphere staff are friendly but horrified it,s to close March next year I've signed a petition against this ,along with many others . 28 /11/15 let's all help to keep our historic buildings alive .
  • Lots of history and great demos of the machines working. Cant belive they are going to close it.
  • Excellent industrial museum everyone should go at least once
  • This old mill tells the story of wool and cotton production in the area. Water-powered wool processing and spinning, plus cotton spinning mill with all machinery working well. Only closed in 1970s as a working mill, so very well preserved. Friendly and knowledgable guides. All the usual tourist trail add-ons - shop, cafe, toilets....
