  • This place is worth visiting for picnic as well as for historic visit. In world war there was supply depot all the ammunition was supplied from this place by trains. There is a train bridge here which is made by the British builders, it's show the abilities and hard work of that era without any modern equipments.
  • We went here for a walk as we thought that there was an accessible path for wheelchairs as shown on the map. I'm sure the path was fine but there was a swinging gate that was impossible to get the mobility scooter through and so we had to just walk along the road.
  • A beautiful broad-leaved woods which softens the obvious industrial past of this part of the world. After a short walk you'll meet a busy river that woods is a fast-moving river that cuts through the rock and winds it's way towards Rochdale. Well worth a visit and a stroll along the well-maintained paths.
  • Good place to go with family on a nice sunny day. Good for pics.
  • A very pleasant walk - the area isn't excessively manicured, and the west part of the circuit isn't suitable if you have limited mobility.
