  • Nicely set out, staff friendly, volunteers in role play help keep kids interested, most exhibits can be touched and examined. A low key but most enjoyable visit.
  • One of the best museums I've been to
  • Surprisingly good museum, recording the fate of the workhouse poor. Took about an hour and a half to wander round.
  • With a long stay car park only 2 minuets away its worth a visit. Plenty to see including mock rooms and dress up clothes to try on for children. You can learn a lot and with the helpful reception staff you cant go wrong. You can visit the other 2 museums - Police/Jail house and Courtroom for one price. Don't forget to walk round the garden ! it grows what they used to while the workhouse was open.
  • Excellent museum very informative
