  • We went today to Raystede and really liked it, even though quite a few animals were hidden away or simply just not there. We'll definitely come back later in the year to see rabbits, goats and other c...  more »

  • Went for a few hours with my young son and he really enjoyed seeing the animals close up, especially the goats. Great place to wander round and chill out. Has nice, reasonably priced cafe.  more »

  • Animal rescue center doing a great job for re-homing animals, is open all year round and good for a family visit allow 2-3 hours for a normal visit if exploring the site and having something to eat. Charity shop on site that also raises money for the animals is worth a look, the cafe is a bit on the expensive side if there are 1 or 2 of you that's OK but if you are in a group bring your own food and perhaps just leave a donation in one of the boxes to help towards the running costs. Entry is free
  • Lovely place to meet up with friends or family! Good for the children and tots, having lots of various animals to see. .pleasant grounds with swings. Walks around to view the animals Charity shop..clean and bright. Very cosy coffee shop, hot and cold food.
  • It's a lovely place to go - the layout and land is fabulous so if nothing else it's a good walk out! It's just a bit hit and miss with the animals. We saw no dogs and the cats were tucked so far away from the glass that the kids couldn't see them, which was the same for the rabbits and parrots. Still, the two donkeys were good and it's free to get in, with donations asked for. The cafe is great and service brilliant.
  • A wonderful place to find your new furry friend. The Animals are so well cared for. I am quite surprised by some of the reviews on here, it's not a Zoo.
  • For something that is essentially free, it's great. But we were there on a Sunday afternoon and the whole place shut at 4pm which meant we didn't see everything we wanted. I expect if you are thinking of buying a pet, this would be a first class place to come.
