This place was a surprise! Very clean and tidy. Dogs welcome - poopie bags and bins provided. We ate in the cafe, good choices for vegetarians, slush drink was great. Wanted to take the kittys home :(... more »
What a wonderful place to visit. No charges but donations are not only appreciated but crucial to this venue. We found it hard to believe this was a welfare and rehoming centre. The cleanliness and an... more »
In the sunshine we had a lovely few hours here with my 2 year old daughter and boisterous lab puppy. Parrots were the highlight of our visit but we found we didn't see the cats or dogs or small animal... more »
Fantastic rescue centre. We adopted both of our dogs from Raystede. Lovely place to visit for the day with family and friends, with a great cafe and beautiful walking areas. I strongly suggest making a donation when you can, or when you visit as this is run solely on donations from adopted pets, fundraising events and visitors. Can get very busy at the weekend, so recommend going during school hours if you're considering adopting an animal.
Fantastic place and a great cause. The grounds are kept better than any zoo or wildlife park. All the staff are friendly and all contribute to this animal rehoming centre.
We adopted our gorgeous and cheeky eight year old cat from Raystede and the process could not have been better. The animals here are so well cared for, and the staff make every effort to match the right animal with the right owner. Unbelievably when my previous rescue cat died, a lot of shelters ignored my enquiries about whether they might have the right cat for me, but Raystede called me the day after I emailed them and that same day we went there and found the perfect cat on their recommendation. They encourage you to spend time with the cat first and the rehoming process itself was very straightforward. After adoption they keep in touch and are available to help with any queries. The staff are fabulous and cannot be faulted. It's a great place to take the family anyway with plenty of animals to see, a shop and a very nice cafe serving excellent cakes and hot meals too. Highly recommended.
Brilliant for a day out with the kids and also brilliant with the animals/rehoming side of things too.
Booked an appointment to rehome my dog as he needed help in the rehab department aswell as him being homes, drove 40 min from Worthing to get there then they turned us down and saying how he's to bad to take on they said it's best to have him put to sleep, so upset my poor dog has no hope now as he can't live the life how he is it's not fair on him🙁and they didn't really even have great manners or give him no chance at all.
