  • beautifully restored and full of history. within the grounds of Kew Gardens, a lovely little gem of a place.
  • It is a younger sister of Kew Palace. This adorable cottage with thatched roof is where the Queen Charlotte (wife of George III) was to escape the impagno being surrounded by her 15 children. You can see her artistic nature and try to imagine what it was like when he passed his time here in the 18th century, when much pioneering introduced exotic species of plants and animals. Entry is free once you have paid the ticket for entry to Kew Gardens, but has limited opening times, so it is advisable to check before you go.

  • Kew Gardens is a large area to cover in one visit and I suspect that not everyone gets to see it all. This is worth a quick visit though if you have time.
