  • Loved Ham House - great house, lovely gardens and such history - hard to believe you are in London and there is a great farm style shop too. Take the kids, go for a walk and fresh air - would recommen...  more »
  • Nice grounds even though it was a horrible day weather wise. Kitchens and lower floor rooms available without the guided tour (which we did not fancy) at this time of year. Rest of the house is guided...  more »
  • We could explore the House July statia. On that visit I already wrote a review. We went back a few days ago in November with our son and his wife, and we found out that this season are allowed guided tours at fixed times. You get there we paid for 4, a figure fairly high and we chose the tour of 12. Meanwhile, it was about 10.30, we visited the garden, always beautiful in its simplicity. The visit inside lasted about 30 minutes and it was possible to see only a small part of the House, so disappointing experience compared to the previous time, although the Guide, a lady who was a volunteer for the National Trust, was clear and easily understood, despite talk of course in English. In July we were staying at the '' inside for almost two hours and had seen many more rooms for less. Pleasant instead lunch at Cafe Orangery run by the National Trust, at a reasonable price. Great soups.

  • These are wonderful stables in a lovely historic building near Richmond Park just outside of Kingston upon Thames. The staff are wonderful and really care for the horses. Riding lessons are available as well for all ages.
  • Just a quick note to share with you how pleased I am to have found Ham Stables. I had been looking for a good yard near London for a while so could not believe it when a place became available for my pony. Ham Stables made the move stress-free. Even when the yard is very busy, staff is always at hand to help out, to listen to owners' concerns and give advice. I have a young horse in training and I could not have wished for a better home and 'school', to take his education further.
  • I had ridden for quite a years when I first went to Ham House Stables, wanting to do a few lunge lessons to brush up on my position - in fact Minette revolutionised my riding! By going right back to basics like straightness and position Minette has helped me sort out crookedness issues that I had lived with for years. My horse certainly seemed a lot happier with his new, straighter rider! Minette's teaching is excellent and her horses are happy, healthy and responsive. Classical Dressage fans in particular will fall in love with Ham House.
