  • On arrival you think Mmm I doubt I'll be here for more than 10 minutes. The castle looks run down and beaten. Once inside its actually quite decent. Yes it was part destroyed by the English so the Welsh couldn't use it as a base but there is still plenty to do. There a 3 metal staircase to the top of the tower and the battlements on the castle wall. There is plenty of space to walk around and explore and play with kids. Both in the the castle walls and outside. There are nice views over the river Clwyd. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion
  • Romantic, well preserved and beautiful. A magical atmosphere at any time of year.
  • Lovely ruined castle! The cashier was very kind and friendly. We enjoyed climbing and exploring the ruined castle.
  • This is a great castle ruin with car park close by, a small souvenir shop and toilets on site, the staff are friendly and helpful you can walk up to the top of the castle wall with nice views the ground is well looked after it is worth a visit.
  • Enjoyed my visit, happiest when I can learn new things
