  • Good nature reserve pleasant afternoon walk around the lake but need to take care can be muddy areas especially after rain.Nice shop on site with lovely cafe area.
  • Had a lovely walk round the lake (short or long walks available). Accessibility good. Cafe very & reasonably priced.
  • This is a lovely place to look and admire the country side and look at birds it has a small cafe which is clean and you can look out onto the the country side
  • Love this place whatever the weather and the cafe is lovely staff very friendly and helpful and the coffee and cakes are second to none
  • Enjoyed a walk around here but trees and bushes a little overgrown near the paths. Lots of midges.
  • Lovely walk with plenty of activity for the kids or just to get away from it all for an hour or two.
  • This nature reserve is a hidden gem. It follows a 3 mile stretch of the River Idle. The visitor reception area is in what's called 'The Idle Valley Rural Learning Centre' which looks a bit like a very large oblong shed on the outside, but once you step inside, the view over Bellmoor Lake is just amazing - whatever the weather! Parking is easy and there are no steps which is great for push chairs and mobility scooters. If you want somewhere lovely to go to get away from the madding crowds, then this is the place. They also run different activities practically every weekend so it's worth planning ahead, and the volunteers in the cafe at weekends are really friendly and will pamper to your every whim if they aren't snided out!
  • Enjoyable day out! - we did the white route (quite a trek!). Lots of wildlife to look at, the Learning centre is brilliant, having a cup of tea while enjoying that view was nice. Staff were really nice.
