  • Good place to see how Reading has evolved. Brings back memories. Lots to see so take your time. Right in the middle of the town so very handy if on a shopping trip.
  • Pretty dull really. You can get round all of it in about 10 minutes so don't make this your main activity no interaction really though the copybook the bayeux tapestry is with a look!
  • Some paper activities are left during half terms on the table on 2nd floor. Children should be able to talk with someone about what they suppose to do and most importantly how.

  • PROS: - 3 floors of quite a lot of things to see, - cafe if you become hungry/thirsty, - free entrance, but you can support them with a membership or a donation, - best part for me was the history of British Railways from past until now and their plans for the future (Tube line all the way to Reading), - Huntely&Palmers cookie tins exhibition was interesting as well. CONS: - /
  • It's slightly under appreciated but I do enjoy this museum with it's slightly eclectic collection of objects.
  • What more do you want for free, or a small donation anyway? I bizzarly really enjoyed the train exhibition.
  • A really interesting and eclectic range of exhibits and artefacts - a good way to while away an hour or so.
  • Great museum with a lot of historical objects from reading, it's nicely spread out rather than cluttered together with random selections like other museums I've visited
