  • Came for my second visit last week in 6 years. Had a great trip but have just one criticism. There is nothing in the leaflet or or the walks themselves to tell you how long each one is. You don't know...  more »
  • Lovely house with friendly guides, pity about the moody teenagers working in the tea room who won't provide knives or proper cups for a cream tea 'to save on washing up' and then give a load of attitu...  more »
  • I have visited this park and house as the first step on my 1 week trip around West England. My plan was to visit some National Trust places and I started here. I had a timed ticket to go around in a g...  more »

  • Nice National Trust estate. Parking is free, there are few paths with different length to go around the estate, 1 of them leads in a meadow within cattles. Estate is a bit wild for my taste. The house is not too big though, but with a nice collection of arts. There are guided tours to 12.00, then free flow entry.
  • So as with many a NT property, you will get stung at every opportunity. They will also conveniently not mention the non-gift aid ticket option. This aside, it's a lovely property to visit and the volunteer in the kitchen doing the 50s cooking demo was amazing and worth the visit alone. The grounds are delightful and the coffee shop underwhelming. Bring a packed lunch. A nice bit of living history.
  • We really enjoyed visiting here. The sat-nav took us the back way on all the B roads. Lovely
  • Nice little garden area and the house is nice too. Came across as a bit more strict here than other NT places (no bags at all allowed in the house). A number of sign posted walks of different length are in the area.
  • Great local place to visit. Dogs allowed and at least 4 good walk's from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Lovely environment for children. Cafe with food reasonably priced. Also enjoy a stroll through the old historic house with voluntary guides in each room with a very good knowledge of the house history.
