  • Visited with two very young children and thought they might be bored but there was enough to keep their interest, with dressing up and colouring along the way. It was very informative and a good way t...  read more »
  • A great little museum to pass an hr or so. The wartime bunker is a highlight, and they often have something interesting on in the school holidays
  • Wonderful free place to go with children. Helpful staff, interesting, educational for adults and children. Heard it may be closing, which is a real shame .
  • We went today just pass a couple of hours and spent over 4 here today! Fantastic museum with really friendly, helpful staff. Visited the cafe first thing for coffee and then stayed for a great lunch - they don't do full cooked meals but you can get toasted sandwiches, soup etc. and all reasonable prices. Well worth a visit, but please donate in order that this place can stay open.
  • Lovely little cafe, friendly staff, lots to see. Please don't close it down! We took four of our five children and they absolutely loved it. They can get into a typical air raid shelter which folk would have had in their garden, feel the size of the trenches, see how it feels to sit in a tank's driving seat, and much much more!
  • Lovely little museum. There are lots of activities for the kids. There are quite a lot of stairs, so it might be tricky for those with mobility difficulties and it means you need to watch toddlers. The wartime trenches display can be a bit overwhelming for younger children.
  • Nice little museum shame it's closing
  • Absolutely fantastic museum. Can't recommend enough for adults and children. It would be a crime to shut it down!!
