  • Great place to walk your dog. It's the only Park in the local area that allows you to walk your dog off lead. Very pleasant to walk around, lots of Bluebells in the Spring, which makes it well worth a visit, fabulous Parkrun every Saturday, great Beer & Cider Festival every summer, as well as many other events that run throughout the year.
  • Great place to walk the dogs or just have a nice walk in the air, is usually quite during the day unless its a weekend, school/bank holiday, on hot days there is also sometimes an ice cream trolley where you can get simple refreshment, large pond for fishing and a nice stream for letting the dogs or kids have a paddle
  • Great to be out in the countryside and fresh air, trees, wildlife and a lake with a small river running through too. Pathways to walk on and through the trees, especially beautiful is bluebell wood. Plenty of space for bike riding, dog walking and jogging. Schools bring pupils for dipping sessions, lots of tadpoles to be seen! Sue Ryder home off Shady Lane has a small cafe and recycle shops. Lancashire Wildlife HQ is here Berkeley Drive open to visitors. This leads to a lovely arboretum, part of the old estate, a great cedar in the carpark and many others in gated area, quite steep but access is available for buggies etc. From here you can also enter the park. A £1 parking charge at the car parks. They're building a new cafe and shop at this area, from hay bales and tyres!
  • Easy to walk round, lots of lovely colours in autumn (good for photographers). Everyone I met along the way seemed friendly. I still need to explore more so will definitely be back soon
  • Absolutely love the park, quite local to my home offering everything I need. I visit on a weekly basis to walk my dog who is always very happy when we arrive. Lots of great views, very clean park which is well maintained.
