Southsea is a place that you'll never tire of; it's exciting, vibrant and entertaining. Southsea offers great museums, exciting places to visit and is home to some of the south coast's most historic sites. The shopping area provides a great mix of specialist, unique and boutique style shopping together with Debenhams and John Lewis department stores. When you add the beach and the great sea views to a great shopping experience you will certainly want to visit again and again.

Southsea provides plenty of activities for all the family from shopping in Palmerston Road pedestrian area, to all teh attractions along the beautiful seafront from Clarence Pier to Royal Marines Museum. All within 10 minutes of local travel and also service by the Southsea Beach bus X25.

Between the sea and the shops you'll find the great and green open space 'Southsea Common'. Many of the major events that take place in Portsmouth are based on and around the Common and when not hosting an event it's a great place to stroll and take a break.

  • Little Beach, great to sit on sunny days, chatting and eating fish & chips, overlooking the sea.

  • I love stoney beeches and the large pebbles here make a great noise when the waves break over them. You can see the Isle of Wight forts and there are always passing ships
  • Love this beach. Visit all the time no matter what the weather. Kids love it despite the stones. Good for long walks with the other half too or with the dogs. Usually clean and not alot of litter.
