  • This museum is located in the heart of the old naval station. It gives the entire history of the Royal Navy, and as you go through the large Windows look outside, see the HMS Victory and HMS Warrior 1860 right in front of your nose. In the large, spacious rooms are countless objects that belonged to the many men who have served their country at sea, both in times of war as in peace. What is very impressive: the many figureheads of different ships, which here in a very fun, colorful way are exhibited, you just prepare to be blown away. They are sometimes so great, so beautiful .... and the many very large paintings on the wall, making this museum really is something special. A very large, even with children.

  • As a lover of naval history I have wanted to come here and see in HMS Victory my entire life. It did NOT disappoint!! The ship is preserved beautifully! It is an absolute marvel to behold!! The audio guide is excellent!! Walking you thought each step of the battle of Trafalgar. Even my wife who unusually doesn't enjoy audio guides listen the the einter thing. The ready of museum is magnificent as well! Tons of fascinating things to learn and plenty for everyone young and old to enjoy! The "action station" exhibit was especially fun for kids. Thai museum is a most see for anyone even remotely interested in naval history!
  • An exceptional collection of naval memoribilia and models, representing the long and proud history and traditions of the Royal Navy. New for 2016 is a fascinating exhibition on the famous Gallipoli campaign of the First World War. Truly outstanding exhibits include the gun attributed with firing the first naval shot of the First World War. Definitely worth visiting while at the Historic Dockyard.
  • Fantastic museum lots to see and do on more than one location. Including HMS Warrior, HMS Victory and Mary Rose
  • After a 25 year career in the RN I was delighted to see the history of the Navy so magnificently portrayed. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
  • Very informative and great staff.
