We enjoyed our trip to blue reef Aquarium but were glad we had found online discount vouchers to reduce the ticket costs. We found the two young women on the desk not particularly friendly or helpful....  more »

Website makes the whole place look much bigger than it is. Tiny Sharks, about a meter long. Otter's just stayed in their den. Overall took less than 1 hour to walk through stopping to read and explain...  more »

Thought it would be good place to visit on a rainy day. Definitely not worth the money. Very dated and tired. Would not recommend.  more »

  • Fun, small aquarium. Great for smaller children. Out child is really into fish, and being under 3, the fee was just for the adults and seemed reasonably priced (similar to the price of a cinema ticket etc). She loved the rays, lionfish and snapping turtle. The tunnel was good. Went down very well. It's not a big aquarium, so probably better for smaller children. Not really large enough for a full day out, but it's still enjoyable. The fish seemed well kept.
  • Relatively small and I imagine gets very busy in summer, but the stamp system to come back later in the day is a fantastic idea - my partner and I did it simply to pop out and have lunch outside and then come back in for one of the feeds. No food or drink inside, totally understandable just don't buy a big coke immediately before going inside! Enjoyed it here, down to 4 stars though as some of the reptile enclosures look a little dated and some of the signage could do with updating, but a lot of work has gone into the rest of the place over the last couple years. Love the new monsoon falls exhibit and can't wait to come back and see it once the rainbowfish are mature!
  • It's a bit tatty on the outside but inside its a different matter. All the fish you could want including sharks, a glass tunnel to walk through. There's also amphibians like toads and frogs, a few lizards. In the garden is a splash pad, a few playground items and right on the sea front. Great value and a great location.
  • There is lots of good points including the ray tank, seahorses, jellyfish display and water tunnel but the walk around is very quick, and the rainforest and otter area feels a bit out of place. Well stocked gift shop though.
  • Good for the kids. Lots at eye level for younger ones. Outdoor play area is nice on a sunny day.
