  • Interesting piece of history from the local area, well presented with an absolutely lovely gift shop.  more »
  • This centre is superb - It's mainly based around the local Pictish history and finds,, but also other things of interest in the village. It's well worth a visit.  more »
  • The Church tells the story of the Picts from the 6th to 9th century. Next to the Church, important excavations were made, which are explained in the Museum absorbed. Overall a very instructive introduction to the topic. Advance check opening times.

  • A very interesting place that can teach you a lot about the history of the region and it's people. Fascinating stories are told here, there are statues that depict the Pictish Queen, and inside the museum you can buy some nice souvenirs and delicious honey. Really the honey was amazing, so soft, with a variety of flavours and levels of sweetness. Awesome stuff.
  • A fantastic place to visit with lots of local history 👍👍👍
  • Wonderful display and explanation of the history of the local Picts, with even more to be unearthed.
  • Really fascinating museum covering an incredibly long time span about the rich history and archaeology of this area. Lots of interesting information and artefacts. We really liked the outdoor information posts that had to be charged up by pumping them with our feet so we could hear them. The only thing I would say, is that the centre does itself a disservice with the brown information signs for it in the local area, which are rather misleading. We spotted them and followed them because they had dolphins on them, so we were expecting some sort of wildlife/dolphin watching centre. Slightly disappointed that it wasn't, but a nice surprise for my archaeology/history interests.
