Visited with our two kids (11 and 14) , was very overcrowded with very little for the adults to do, except a very small outdoor pool (if you can call it that). They have a spa pool which gets full up ...  more »

Went with a two year old the play pool is not worth the £35 we paid. The life guards make no effort to keep the older kids (and some adults) out of it, as it's one of the only pools available. Everyth...  more »

The atmosphere of this place is really nice and the staff take their jobs seriously and are helpful. The changing rooms are dirty but what can you expect when there are lots of people getting changed ...  more »

  • Fantastic. I had a great time. Not for the timid. We went for the 6 hour session from 11-5. I was glad I did because as a first time person I don't think I could have done everything in 2 hours. I noticed in May half term that a lot of people went home at 5 so you could have a wonderful time in the cheaper evening sessions because there was no queue. There is NO swimming pool but there is a cafe, outdoor loungers, an out door sitting area. If you have a family from 7-21 who like swimming this would be a great day out that would suit them all. Your children must be able to confidently swim. There are toddlers areas, the most popular with the adults is the bubble pool. I saw quite a few parents sitting reading while their kids played in a safe fun environment. After there are a lot of meal choices in the area including a Tesco for those on a budget and a movie theater. Special note they weren't able to cater for my weird diet BUT we did buy other food so the cafe was happy for me to eat my egg free, wheat free, gluten free, dairy free lunch. Will be going back again.
  • I loved Splashdown as it is very fun and has a wide variety of flumes and slides that target people between the age of 7-16. However there is no place for the adults to go so they can watch their younger children, other than the cafe. We have not been able to find any information on when the outdoor slides open and it would be useful if we could.
  • We went there a family of four. Kids loved it and ran up and down wanting to try all the slides as much as possible, but I do think there is not much else to do for adults. There is one type of Jacuzzi, but when it gets busy it's not very likely you will get a place in it. So basically it's great place for older children who can go on their own, or adults who love slides. Also I kept checking our bank account to see if the deposit for the wrist bands was returned, and I don't think we ever got it back. It was fun, and we will probably return just because it's the closest water park, but I've definitely been to much better ones.
  • Absolutely fabulous family day out. Fantastic flumes and crazy rides. Worth the journey from London today
  • Been here couple of times already and with the best intentions of comming back in the future. Easy to find and access. Plenty of dining solutions outside to chose from. Splashdown itself not big but surely entertaining and lots of fun for your little ones. Plenty of supervision and actually reacting to horse play and youngsters running around so small children are safe and the place is well maintained. Definitely worth visiting and for the price - really good day out with the family.

Where to stay in Poole

Consider renting an apartment inside a redeveloped warehouse in Poole's quay. This area is full of attractions and views over the port, where boats leave for cruises to nearby islands. The town center and the harbor are near each other, and lodging is available in both areas.
