My maternal great uncle was an Alderman when the park was opened in 1896. Like countless others, it formed a backdrop to my childhood and adult life. A municipal Park in the truest Victorian tradition. And long may it be!
Great park. Clean and fresh looking. Has tennis courts and classic feeding the ducks.
Lovely park for a stroll. Can get very flooded in the rain though
Poole Park is a delightful place to visit. It is kept very clean and it is a rarity to find any rubbish lying around. There are several playgrounds for younger children and open fields for sports. The café is very welcoming and the food is great. There are many brilliant services offered here like a mini-golf course and watersports.
Great to sit in the evening and let the kids run around. Plenty of benches to relax on and enjoy a takeaway.
