Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web
Spend a day on the water at Europe’s largest natural harbor, Poole Harbour. Forming the estuary of several rivers in southern England, the harbor boasts prime locations for watersports and beach lounging, as well as many popular shopping and eating areas. Take a waterside walk at sunset to enjoy impressive views of the coastline and passing yachts, or rent a boat to explore the surrounding islands. Stop for dinner at one of the harborside pubs, or wander into the town of Poole for a larger selection of bars and restaurants. The area is mostly closed to motor traffic, but feel free to explore the harbor on foot or bicycle. Put Poole Harbour and other Poole attractions into our Poole tourist route planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • I love this area. Lovely to walk along. Always something to see, not a static landscape (seascape). Best to avoid busy times or park slightly away as traffic can be a nightmare!
  • Shallow in parts, but the harbour is an amazing place to take your boat, whatever size, whatever the weather.
  • What can I say, love this place, beautiful views of the harbour, the boats and watching the world go by. Plenty of restaurants and little places to grab a drink.
