  • A great day out with the grandkids. My husband used to use this pool as a kid back in the 1960's, and it is still just as freezing cold today as it was then! Luckily they have invented wetsuits since!...  more »

  • What has happened to this great place? This very old pool was refurbished at what I would imagine was great expense and brought back to near it's former glory. I saw it after it had been done and it l...  more »
  • The changing facilities could be better. It needs some love in places. But if you are a fan of sploshing around in water then it's a delight - a wonderful space which needs our support. A roped off area for more confident swimmers provides a good distance to enjoy - in the region of 50m. The view over the Hoe provides a stunning backdrop. The renovation of the lido seems to have brought around an air of rejuvenation to the area, with cafes and restaurants opening, providing a wonderful environment for a post swim hot chocolate.
  • Fabulous! Please use and support this wonderful space! Tinside is an art deco lido great for families, teenagers and more 'serious' swimmers. The views are glorious. It's fed by sea water and is not heated so expect refreshing temperatures rather than warm but don't let this put you off. It's allowed to wear wetsuits if need be. It's good value - especially if you plan on staying all day. There are areas for sunbathing (bring your own chair though) and a small simple cafe (cash only). And there are also weekly swimming options as well. Changing rooms are as you expect - they're mixed but with private cubicles - bring 20p for the non-refundable lockers.
  • Great location for such a lido. There is sea water in the pool.
  • Fantastic place to relax, good price too. Only downside is the parking charges on the hoe that you have to pay. Clean changing rooms and friendly staff. A great day out for all the family.
  • Lovely art deco lido. It is fed by sea water and the pool is unheated. Swimming here is really refreshing. The changing rooms are large and the cubicles are clean. There is plenty of room to sunbathe but bring your own chair or lounger.
