  • Iconic place in Plymouth. This same tower at one time marked the presence of a rock which still exists and which is about 15 km off the coast of Plymouth. The tower was ' on duty ', and then exposed to the fury of the ocean from the mid 18th century in late 19th and this is already enough to classify it as an engineering marvel of Victorian England. At the end of his career as a beacon was disassembled and reassembled at The Hoe of Plymouth. This is a must-have for fans of cute, visit sea, certainly pleasant for those who do not is but steps away from Plymouth. Little in a windy day. You miss a guided tour or panels that explain in detail how it worked a lighthouse in 1759. However, I repeat, the particularity (even constructive) of the place makes it definitely worth visiting! The price, a 2 time, 50sterline was perhaps more appropriate to current 4sterline.

  • Smeatons Tower looked wonderful lit up on a dark February evening but I do think Plymouth could paint it green and white in support of their football team Plymouth Argyle.
  • It's a long walk to the top but worth every penny it's really cheap but the views are amazing on a good sunny day you can see right across Plymouth if you not done it I would recommend it you will be ...  more »

  • Quite a nice and tall attraction to be and spend time with the people you know and love by.
  • Iconic Plymouth feature. It's the focal point of Plymouth Hoe and for a modest price, you can walk up the inside right to the very top. It can be a tight squeeze and you'll probably bump your head but the views are worth it.
  • It is definitely worth climbing to the top of the lighthouse. From there you have a 360 degree view of the Hoe and other surrounding areas.
  • Highly recommend climbing to the top of this to see the views
  • A place which needs to be visited if you're in Plymouth, very nice !
