  • Well worth a visit to take in all our heritage. Some amazing views. If you can walk around here with a local who knows the local knowledge all the better. 
  • You will come across the Royal Citadel as you walk along the Plymouth Hoe. Built in the 1660s as a fortress to defend Plymouth. It is still an active military base. The walls of the Citadel are impres...  more »
  • Massive fortification protecting the city from the sea and approaches. Lots of history. Still and active base but with beautiful lawns stretching high above the city and harbour
