  • Although you can walk around the outside of the fort itself, due to the fact that this is an active army base, civilians are not permitted inside.
  • Not an easy place to visit, great level of history. Worth checking the schedule of open days.
  • A feat for eyes... Nice beautiful climate and having historical importance.
  • I have not been in, but it looks very interesting from the outside

Where to stay in Plymouth

Lodging in Plymouth range from stylish brand names and cozy B&Bs, to affordable self-catering apartments and private inns. To be near the city's main attractions, stay near the waterfront. Farther inland, you can explore a world of less expensive but just as comfortable boutique hotels and hostels, all within walking distance of the city's finest shops, restaurants, and bars. For an even less expensive alternative, consider staying in the quiet suburbs. Though a bit far from the city center, suburban hotels offer top-quality rooms at a fraction of the cost of the big hotel chains.
