  • The steps are good to visit to see where the Mayflower departed for the Americas. Good on a nice sunny day or a clear crisp evening with the lights on the water behind.

  • My wife didnt understand the significance of the steps as they're not visually remarkable but when you consider what those that embarked from the steos started then perhaps they're the most important lumps of granite on earth.
  • I love to bring Americans here and watch their faces when they make the connection between a Devon town called Plymouth and one in Massachusetts. If we're really lucky, they sometimes start to tell me that they have a town called Plym... and then the penny drops and we have a laugh and we wander up to the Hoe.
  • Although historic it's really just some steps. l'm moved by many historic places but somehow these steps just don't make it Others will of course fill very different
  • This a wonderful place if you are American, from here sailed the Pilgrim Fathers in 1620 to America and renamed their first settlement after this city Plymouth.
  • Great historical place to go. Lots to eat & do
