  • Friendly staff, well thought out experience. My daughter painted a pretty pink porcelain pig, which was later fired, packed up and posted to us - and looks great!
  • Lovely place to go, really friendly staff. Great selection of items to paint and they are normally fired and ready to collect very quickly!
  • Great fun and all ages welcome. Not just for kids.
  • There's clay items and paint...... Paint a cup. I've it to a relative for their birthday. Then watch the bemused expression on their face while you explain that you painted it and not a five year....
  • We recently attended the glass fusing evening in Clay Art on Plymouth's Barbican, and what a great time we had!!! We've never done any glass fusing before, but the staff were very helpful and clearly explained how to use tools to get the results we wanted. Large array of glass, decorative pieces and various trimmings were also available to use freely and we had wonderful time. I highly recommend a visit. What a treat. And our creations were great, by the way!

Where to stay in Plymouth

Lodging in Plymouth range from stylish brand names and cozy B&Bs, to affordable self-catering apartments and private inns. To be near the city's main attractions, stay near the waterfront. Farther inland, you can explore a world of less expensive but just as comfortable boutique hotels and hostels, all within walking distance of the city's finest shops, restaurants, and bars. For an even less expensive alternative, consider staying in the quiet suburbs. Though a bit far from the city center, suburban hotels offer top-quality rooms at a fraction of the cost of the big hotel chains.
