  • Lots of space to run, walk the dog ride a bike or just relax. There is a lovely play area for the children. There is also a pitch N putt golf course, Frisbee golf and foot golf course which is open from 8am until dusk every day.
  • Lovely park good for a long walk, jog or bike ride. Lots of green space and things to discover. Has a nice play park set on grass and soft rubber flooring, with small aqua park area and a few trees offering shade.
  • I love this place because I grew up here. Huge green spaces, lovely tree-lined walks. I wish they'd stick a Munich-style beer garden and restaurant in the middle, for me it's crying out for that. But I love it.
  • Central Park is a great park located just off of Alma Road and Outland Road. It has beautiful greenery and is great for peaceful late afternoon walks in the summer. There is a large outdoor park located near the main road in the middle of the park, which has slides, swings etc., as well as a small water area for children to play in, great during the summer. Central Park is located just outside of Plymouth Life Centre, so is a great place to go after being there. There is a large car park on the Life Centre land, so has a good place to park the car. It is also a good place to walk the dog, if you have one.
  • Great variety of landscapes for a good dog walk. Can be very muddy.

Where to stay in Plymouth

Lodging in Plymouth range from stylish brand names and cozy B&Bs, to affordable self-catering apartments and private inns. To be near the city's main attractions, stay near the waterfront. Farther inland, you can explore a world of less expensive but just as comfortable boutique hotels and hostels, all within walking distance of the city's finest shops, restaurants, and bars. For an even less expensive alternative, consider staying in the quiet suburbs. Though a bit far from the city center, suburban hotels offer top-quality rooms at a fraction of the cost of the big hotel chains.
