Queen's View, Pitlochry

Feel like royalty at Queen's View, where Queen Victoria enjoyed her favorite views. Pictures don’t do justice to what is said to be one of the most photographed views in Scotland. Revel over the sights of the River Tummel and the reflections of the mountains in the background. Afterwards, sip hot tea at the nearby tearoom. If driving, bring some extra change for parking. • Perfect place just for a quick stop off for a lovely photo. Views were incredible, we went later in the day when the sun was low and it was stunning!  more »
  • This is a fantastic viewpoint/photo opportunity. The view down the Loch and the surrounding countryside is not to be missed. Adjacent to the car park is a small cafe serving food and drink.  more »
  • Small cafe with lovely selection although limited. Fantastic wee gift shop with the cheapest Harris tweed I've seen. Visited during the snow so it was a bit too slippy for us old things ! Who needs wa...  more »

  • It's a fine view, and I suppose many will think it is the best. However, there are better sights to be seen where Queens don't tread, and many of those viewpoints can be seen from the Queen's View itself! This very short walk is a decent introduction to Tay Forest Park. Stop here, have some lunch, check out the sights and plot your next stop. If you don't stop for food or the shop, this is a place that is easily done with in 15 minutes, which may make you think twice about the £2 parking fee.
  • Great views and a nice coffee shop. However in order to avoid the daft 2 pound parking tax just keep driving for 300 meters to the west and park opposite entrance door alloach car park for free and then just follow the foot path to queen's view. The path also had a split down to the banks of loch
  • Fab little cafe in one of my favourite spots never get tired of the view.staff are very friendly always make you feel very welcome the food is very good too
  • It was a very nice experience to visit Queens View. I visited the place with my in-laws and they were definitely mesmerized by the beauty.
  • Decent view, but not all that special if you travel around Scotland. Probably was grand 200 years ago when no other viewpoints were around. Not really worth the time it takes to drive off the main road and the road itself is pretty treacherous. I'd rate three stars but they also want you to pay for parking so that's another star off.
