  • The Pitlochry golf course is located on the outskirts of the pretty tourist marked Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands. As usual, in Scotland, everything is very relaxed. Start times can you online reservation - does not really need one but at least in the autumn. Turn on the range (token available in the pro shop), somewhat short game practice and then go on the round. The place goes mostly uphill (gently), what is immediately noticeable when wearing the bags the first railways. Smaller increases are also in between every now and again to deal with, that brings but also additional variety in the game: times a green on a rocky hill (No. 5 - Queen Mary's rest) or a reduction of the plateau on the green surrounded by bunkers and including this (No. 16 - Cloich). Almost from anywhere on the course, you have great views of the Highlands or the Tayside. Also typical Scottish: A public hiking trails and an access road to houses go across the square. But, as mentioned at the beginning: it is all very relaxed and with the necessary mutual consideration. Back at the clubhouse offers a snacks, sandwiches, salads and light pub-food. Wednesday Curry night is steak & grill night, Thursdays and Fridays there are special fish & chips as lunch. Herrlich. In sum, the place is worth a stop or a trip.

  • A great Golf Course and friendly staff make this a must when visiting Pitlochry.
  • Pitlochry GC is a sparkling, green jewel that is worth the long detour if you were going to be on your golf holiday in Scotland. It goes with the rare in the wilderness that you go to a golf course after your first round and can remember the characteristics of all 18 holes. What are you doing here. Length is not a theme, but the path has challenges in abundance. The first four holes takes you up in the terrain and offers you a spectacular view. Hole 6, 14 and 17 carries in itself the ' reward ' for the far end of the turn, while no. 15 is a par 3 hole that makes precision of especially trying. Hole 19 is just the finishing touch-a, and the reception at proen Mark is a textbook example of the brilliant, Scottish hospitality. There is a reason why I visit Pitlochry GC again and again-and even have found it too good to be a member. A the following home away from home ...
