  • This spot is amazing. The views are great, I was with my kids and they also loved it. We got some good pictures although it wasn't the clearest day ever. Very enjoyable.  more »
  • I'm not experienced Strider more and certainly not trained mountain Walker. So the long climb, which first began quietly but on the last free style up went, it was a real challenge for me. For Mn son of 17 and wife was less of an issue. However, it was worth the effort. The views, the top is great, really well worth in 360 degrees. Now, we were lucky that the weather was reasonable, in bad weather, I might have been disappointed with the ROI:-).

  • A walk starting at the car park just past Moulin lasts around 4 hours. The views of Pitlochry and the surrounding countryside on the way up are spectacular. The climb can be a bit relentless at times ...  more »

  • An easy walk up a mountain. Only a few miles from Pitlochry. A steep ascent near the end but on a good path. Excellent views from the summit.
  • Very nice walk to this hill from Pitlochry. Nice sightseeing. The trip is nice, not to difficult, but last part to the top is really hard. On the top of Ben Vrackie is windy, but you can see all mountains and lakes around Pitlochry. Really nice walk (if you are lucky and weather is nice)
  • Stunning views from the top. Not too difficult, my 6 year old son made it to the top.
  • Hard work getting to the top but wow what a view!
  • Great climb with my girlfriend

Where to stay in Pitlochry

B&Bs and inns along the town's high street, or main street, offer rooms under the building's black roofs and spires. The majority of the lodging in town is private or family owned, as well as centrally located. Apartments and guesthouses on the outskirts of town are situated among rolling hills and pristine countryside. Consider a cottage near the river in the Perthshire area for outdoor activities.
