The staff were welcoming and friendly but the chief instructor (Chris McCann) was the opposite. My friend and I who are level 8 AFF students called in the morning to ask if we can do our consol jumps and were told to come in over the phone. After several hours of refresh training on a great day for skydiving and overcoming every obstacle the chief instructor put in front of us, we were told to go elsewhere unless we were willing to repeat ground school training as well as level 3, 5 and 7 which would cost us around £500 each. This is despite the approval of multiple AFF instructors from 2 drop zones. We called the drop zone at Langar and were told we could continue our AFF consols after an initial assessment and refresh training. The next day we continued our AFF jumps at Langar without any trouble. I would not recommend this place for AFF students, the chief instructor seemed more interested in getting money out of us than anything else, which is a shame as everyone else there were great.
I did my tandem skydive on my 16th birthday and was the best present i have ever got!! Thank you so much to my instructor Ralph and my camera man :) 13,000 ft up and i threw myself out of a perfectly good plane. Thank you to all the staff at Sibson aerodrome for helping us and making it such a lovely day overall, i got a hoodie and have barely taken it off since All in all i had no fear at all on the jump and have now got the craving to jump again, thank you to all there, will be jumping again very soon and recommending you to everyone :)
Amazing experience. We did it as a charity fundraising and it was fantastic. No words to express how good it was. The team was highly professional and great to have around.
Brilliant DZ for both experienced jumpers and students.
