  • This place is Brilliant if you consider everything was made by volunteers! When visiting, one needs to bear in mind that the objective of the Wildlife Haven is to recreate a natural habitat for native species, and not to look like a garden. It does look beautiful because it is very natural and perfect for the wildlife. I saw some unique items from the railways history. The little models are so nice and kids just love to interact and play with them. I was very impressed by the Huge Pacific Steam Locomotive parked there under restoration. It was quite fun to be able to see all its details... It's good fun for all the family!
  • Lovely place to visit if your interested in Railways and Model railways. Very friendly staff, Some interesting models and old photos of the site when it was a railway yard. A small bit of Peterborough History with the railways. Also trains can be caught on NVR to Wansford and Back again.
  • For a group of volunteers, they have done amazing things with an old power station coal yard on the Railworld site north of the River Nene - Access by the NVR Station - They have raised all their own funds and embarked on a habitat creation programme and created a wildlife haven with streams, waterfalls and an abundance of native plants, animals and creepy crawlies! There is also a massive OO Gauge Model Railway about 10M x 5M - It's incredible! - I heard one youngster announce - He did not want to go home - He wanted to live there! There is also a small OO Gauge Model Railway for the youngsters to operate! And a big Garden Railway - At 50P a go! OK maybe they lack in core funding - But they certainly make you welcome and at £4 for adults, £3 Concessions and Children £1 - It's certainly worth a look! + You get £1.00 off adults! If you show your Nene Valley Railway tickets! Pick a nice day - Take a picnic and Enjoy!
  • Hasn't moved on for years and is untidy, with rundown portacabins, could be so much more
