  • Went with my pregnant wife and our one year old boy. I asked the "resturant" for a tap water as wife was feeling faint and was told it's 50p. Firstly I was shocked that somewhere like this should charge for tap water but handed over my card regardless. I was then told they don't accept cards at all. I explained the water was not for me it was for my wife but the staff said it's policy. I asked to speak with the duty manager but nobody was there who could assist and just asked me to email general enquiries. I employed the staff member to use some common sense as I spent the last of my cash getting into the building but unfortunately I was still refused. I know some may consider this pedantic but I genuinely feel in an environment such as activity world tap water should be available to children free of charge and certainly pregnant ladies. Hence the low score rating
  • no card payments and do not give free water..... started to hoover whilst there were still children playing around... casing the chance of tripping. frustratingly this place does not take cards and charge for water... so if u pay for your child to play but have not bought extra cash your child goest thirsty.. athoug the place looks tired the children still enjoy the play facilities which on balance are pretty good. some staff better than others...
  • Been here many times and would give the play area for the kids 4 out of 5 as so much to do. Only issues I have is the ventilation in the area. On more than one occasion I have asked for the air vents to be open to allow for some fresh air in. Today I was told that because it was freezing outside they wouldn't be able to open St which point I advised it was 18 c today but very stuffy. The manager finaly agreed to open but for 2 mins only in fear of the place feeling when it wasn't freezing. True to her word the closed in about 4 mins. And did allow fresh air in but hot again. When I asked in the Dummer I was advised the same thing which I don't understand as it was very hot and stuffy. ....odd. listen to your customers but also go around the play area instead of you all sitting in the reception with the door open as u might see that regular venting of air will really mske the place fresher and healthier for all in there.... odd staff and for that I give a 1 overall a 2 for now unless it changes and excuses don't keep getting told to customers.
  • Popped in there today after a busy day shopping with the kids to have a run around whilst us grown ups chilled out with a hot drink! First impressions were not great, building looks run down and in need of a good lick of paint. Guy on reception was extremely blunt and unhelpful. Was told there was only 45 minutes left of play time which we was more than happy with as the kids were pretty tired but after asking for a slight discount on the admission price he rudely said no and demanded full payment. If I had known what state the place was inside I would have immediately declined and left. Every single table was filthy, food all over the floor despite plenty of staff standing around watching the clock. Decided to just grin and bear it and the kids went off. The only reason I've given it one star is because the activity section was fairly large with plenty of choice for the kids. Although after 15 minutes my son who was enjoying the slide section came running over saying it had been closed because the staff member needed a break.....there was only 20 minutes left before the place shut!!!! We then ordered a quick hot drink....do not order hot chocolate....was absolutely vile. And after seeing the state of the kitchen I most certainly would never eat food from there (although I never would return) also be aware they charge for tap water.....what an absolute joke! Both myself and my friend are both pregnant and needed the toilet but the staff had closed both ladies and gents so was directed to a single disabled toilet that had a lock that barely worked, cold and filthy! Needless to say we will not be returning and I advise anyone that wants to take their child to a clean and safe environment to steer well clear!
  • Great value for money! I was pleasantly surprised at how much there was to do for my 12 month old daughter, she loved it!
