Perranporth Beach, Perranporth
(4.8/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Spend a fun day in the sun on 4.83 km (3 mi) Perranporth Beach. Located on the north coast of Cornwall, this beach is known as a premier swimming and surfing destination. Learn to ride the waves by taking lessons from the local surf school, or take the kids to search the many rock pools for lingering sea creatures. The beach is only a few minutes' walk from the main street of Perranporth, which offers restaurants, shops, and accommodations. Stop by the beachside bar, The Watering Hole, and try a pint of famous Cornish ale. • Everything you would want on a glorious sunny Sunday. Good parking, toilets ideal for dog walkers. Good choice of places to eat - I would recommend the watering hole - not had a bad meal there.
  • IMO the best beach in Cornwall for families. Easy access, Excellent Life Guard cover. Many many local amenities for all the family. Plenty of room all along the 3 mile sand.
  • We love this area as have a pooch who also loves the miles of beautiful beach. Is dog friendly and has loads of coastal footpaths to explore. Great place to unwind out of season for a break as we do.
  • Great family beach, with life guards in season and the. Swimming pool in the rocks. Can get busy on nice days, but when the tide is out plenty of space for all. Also, public toilets are good, even hot shower available for 20p.
  • Clean beach and plenty of local amenities at the Perranporth end. Wide beach at low tide is great for a walk, and the cliff top paths at high tide. There's also a decent bar on the sand :)
  • Really lovely long sandy beach. Was crowded but still plenty of space to kick back and enjoy the seaside. Seemed reasonably clean and attentive life guards were present. Parking is limited if you get there late morning onwards.
  • Nice flat sand gently sloping into the see. Not a pebbly beach. Life guarded. Pub on the sand dune. Car park next to beach & other car parks nearby. Shops close by..
  • Lovely beach with dog free and dogs on lead areas. Not many other dog friendly beaches in the area. This one's a cracker!
