Where to stay in Penzance

B&B, inns, and hotels along the narrow streets of the city center provide a convenient location for reaching the harbor and the city's other main attractions. Luxury resorts and four star hotels are typically found near the water and the Granite Coast Walk, while less expensive lodging is farther inland. Rental properties, such as cottages situated between St. Ives and Penzance, offer views and city access.

  • My family and I recently visited Trewidden Gardens. We found that the gardens were not well kept, and not worth the £6,50 which we paid to walk round, Very disappointing.  more »
  • Even though the camellias, rhododendrons and bluebells were mostly past by the time of our visit, there was sufficient variety to make it an interesting and pleasurable walk. The paths were generally ...  more »

  • We visited the gardens on a wet and misty day but they were still wonderful, the tree ferns were especially magical, never seen so many together! The staff were very helpful and friendly, even lending us a plastic wallet to keep our site map dry. Very dog friendly, our two Border Collies were allowed in the cafe with us and made very welcome. The cafe staff were great, even though we were way past the end of lunch service they managed to rustle up some very good homemade soup and a freshly baked roll. One of the best gardens we've been to, thoroughly recommended.
  • An interesting place nice cool shade on a roasting day. Dog friendly also.
  • lovely gardens, large enough to not bump into too many people, very quiet and peaceful
  • Beautiful gardens with a surprising amount to see. The cafe is fantastic (try the picnic!) and the staff are wonderful.
  • Very peaceful and tranquil ... We enjoyed walking around looking at garden. It was bigger than I thought it would be. Very beautiful place to visit.
